Giving back is a fundamental value of The Home Depot and
a passion for its associates. Through Team Depot, The Home Depot’s associate-led volunteer program, associates work
side-by-side to create life-long, meaningful relationships between the Company, our neighbors and our associates. Formalized in 1992, Team Depot programs bring together volunteerism, do-it-yourself expertise, product donations and monetary grants as a way to support the communities where the associates live and work.

"The Leader In Me" Journey

Silver Spring Elementary is located in Northville MI. We at Home Depot are very proud the school is located in district 218. The Leader in Me process remains committed to helping students succeed both in and out of the classroom. Through the use of Stephen Covey's 7 habits, students begin to realize that they have control over much of what happens in their lives and can be true leaders. Their choices can affect their day, their relationships, and their future. The seven habits empower students to stop and think about their choices and the different outcomes that may come from those choices.
Silver Springs Elementary is the fourth school in Michigan to receive Lighthouse recognition and only the 62nd school worldwide to achieve this status.
